History

Since its inception in 2012, VFILES has been a mission-driven company. The mission has always been to connect, empower, and amplify global youth. VFILES has incubated countless emerging talents and amplified their voices and works, which may otherwise have not been heard, at maximum volume. 

Through community-driven commerce, experiences, and content - driven by talents crowdsourced from its digital creator platform - VFILES has generated billions of earned media impressions, hundreds of millions of social impressions, and millions of dollars of revenue for its talents. The average press impressions per VFILES RUNWAY event is 3.1Bn+. 

Supported by incubation and promotion, VFILES talents have gone on to: become LVMH Prize Finalists & Semi-Finalists, CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Winners, Woolmark Prize Winners (and many more); sign deals with major record labels; sell collections to top-tier luxury stockists; and have designs worn by industry icons and celebrities (e.g. Rihanna, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Solange, Ariana Grande, and many more).

Mission

In an effort to turbocharge the integrity and efficacy of our mission, in creating a direct relationship between what we do and who we do it for, VFILES has launched the VFILES Foundation 501(c)(3).

The VFILES Foundation will provide the next generation of cultural innovators with the resources they need to reimagine and redefine the world. Through inclusive community programming, with a focus on empowering the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, the Foundation offerings span across grants, incubation, education, R&D, and policy.

The three programs -- LAB, ACADEMY, V.I.A. -- will be the pillars to tangibly productize opportunity and help our community propel culture forward.

We believe that the most innovative future leaders, and thus, the best solutions, will come from communities that have experienced inequity and underrepresentation.
